We’ll look over the news early in the week, but for now a few treats to get the week started for you.
XPFR never fails to amaze, but sometimes these guys pull one out of the hat that just really leaves you, well, almost breathless. Their latest, a small grass GA strip in SE Belgium, has extraordinarily well done photo textures on the buildings, brilliant LIT textures there as well, great ground detail everywhere you look, and ought to make more than one payware scenery developer very nervous.
The airport, EBSH + Saint Hubert, is a small airfield with multiple grass strips (outlined in orange, below), and in the image below you’ll note the military airfield just SE of EBSH (outlined in green). This is St Hubert Air Base (EBSU), and it is not modeled here, but given it’s proximity it might be nice to have some facilities showing up. The village of Saint Hubert is outlined in blue (below), as well.
The photo textures on the FBO/terminal building (below) are excellent, the night (LIT) textures are simply grand, and lend a sense of realism seldom found in freeware files (or payware, for that matter). Look over the images, then get this one onboard and try it out. It’ll be useful for flights around NE France and the western parts of Germany, and in smaller GA aircraft. The F33A is about as big an aircraft as you’ll want to try, unless the ACF you plan on using has reasonable short field performance.
All in all, an exceptional, must have file. Most highly recommended.

John at SkyHarborDesigns recently added a Bugatti livery to his growing collection of Classic Marques Collection for the Carenado F33A. Good colors and a sweet design highlight this must have addition to your very own collection!

Fresh on the heels of AeroSOFT’s Zurich and Lugano releases, and on which we commented negatively about the lack of static aircraft at each, ‘scoobe’ has released static ACF placement files for both airports. You’ll need to have OpenScenery X installed, and note there’s been a recent update, so run your OSX installer if you haven’t in a while, and once onboard add ‘scoobe’s’ files and you’ll be good to go.
BTW: here’s a post concerning runwayDAT tweaks and another take on static a/c…

…which might help get things in perspective. Below, ‘scoobe’s’ static pak for Lugano:
And his package for Zurich Kloten:
All in all, a welcome addition, with aircraft liveries and placements very well done. The entire character of LSZH is completely changed with this on board, and this will be a welcome addition for all of us not flying VatSIM, and the files are a nice alternative for those who do (or do not) want static ACF. Again, OSX required, and check that you have the most recent update. Well done, scoobe! Thanks!
That’s about all we got so far. Have fun, and thanks for coming along with us today. We’ll see you again soon. C&S

ugggg agonizing wait
hi,
static aircrafts for keflavik would be nice. is there a mod available?
As far as I know, there is not. However, as soon as I have time (hopfully this week) I plan on doing that next.

Just left a reply on Avsim, your files are amazing. A real lifesaver for Zurich…. It made me decide to buy the Zurich package as well.
Thanks!!!!
